Ceranovis Ceramic Coatings on the way to Mercury!


It finally happened on October 20, 2018 at 3:45 a.m. CET: After years of development and hundreds of hours of meticulous work, a coating developed, produced and applied by CeraNovis was launched for the first time as part of ESA's Bepi-Colombo probe in the direction of Mercury, where it is expected to arrive in December 2025. Many small and large individual parts up to the complete antenna had to be provided with a white, reflective coating which withstands the extreme temperature fluctuations in space and does not lose its white color even at 500°C in a vacuum under extreme solar radiation. The Ceranovis team is very proud to be the world's only supplier of this patented coating to contribute to the success of the ESA mission and will follow the journey with great interest.
