CeraNovis introduces new product for protecting heat exchangers
A problem occuring in brazed heat exchangers ist that the copper solder used can penetrate into the oil or water circuit over time on both the oil and water side of the plate heat exchanger. This causes major problems in the cooling circuit of the corresponding unit and there is a technical need to protect the surface of the heat exchanger with a coating against copper bleeding in the long term.
Ceranovis has now validated a new 1K coating for this application, which replaces the 2-component system previously used. The coating effectively protects against corrosion and copper leaching without significantly impairing the efficiency of the heat exchanger. The 2K system previously used was replaced due to the good results and significantly easier handling of the new coating,
